FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

image102

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR THE CLASS?

Relax. Come with an open mind,

and you will be taught, shown,

and demonstrated all the things that

you need to pass the test, qualify,

and be a responsible and legal

SC CWP Card holder.

DO I HAVE TO OWN A GUN TO ATTEND YOUR CWP TRAINING?

The short answer is NO.

We have several different weapons

that you can hold, touch, and shoot

to qualify and pass the course.

While it would be ideal to use, and

practice with your own weapon,

some people are unsure of the size,

caliper, and even type of gun

they would like to purchase.

HOW LONG DOES THE CLASS TAKE?

While there is no "minimum" time

required, as in the past it was 8 hours,

time is dictated by standard and size.

In that, a small class would not take as long as a large class.

But the material and requirements are the same for all.

A typical class 10-15 people, is about 5 - 8 hours.

Class breakdown;

Classroom instruction, Q&A, Test,

LUNCH, Range brief, Qualification,

Final Q&A, Packet Distribution.

HOW MANY PEOPLE MAKE UP A CLASS?

A class can range from 5-8, 10-15, and as low as 1 or 2.

I have taught larger classes (25+),

but usually people create their own

class with friends, family members

or coworkers and end up with 10-15.

WHAT TO I NEED TO BRING TO CLASS?

Yourself, good attitude,

and open mind.

Safety equipment should include;

Closed toe shoes

(no sandals/crocs, etc)

Eyes and Ears (safety glasses and ear plugs/protection)

Weapon, spare magazine(s), and ammo.

-- If you do not have any of the above items, they can be provided for you.

Tell the instructor upon arrival what it is that you are missing in order to acquire.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO ATTEND YOUR CLASS?

A person may attend the class as long as they are 18 years or older.

They CANNOT carry, or get a SC CWP till they are 21.

The training last for 3 years now.

Moreover, a lot of kids want to

take course with parents or friends

while here, home from school, or visiting.

CAN YOU DO A CLASS ON MY PROPERTY?

I can conduct training and qualification on a persons property

as long as they live in a place where firearms can be fired in a legal,

and safe manner.

If you would like to host a class at

your location, please email, text or

call me with the address so that I can

do a site assessment,

WHAT IF I FAIL MY TEST OR DON'T QUALIFY?

You won't!

This is your day.

For the Test, we will cover, recover, etc. any material that you may have a question about.

For the Range, we will practice, practice again, then qualify.

This isn't just to make sure you can do something once, or meet the standard.

This class is for you to understand,

be safe, carry safe, and be able to

shoot safe if the time ever arises.
